Letter from Principal

We all want our children to be smart.  Smart people read.  It is not always clear whether they read because they are smart, or they are smart because they read.  What matters is that children read.

Reading is exercise for the brain, just like jogging is exercise for the body.

Books and magazines inform us, entertain us, and increase our appetite to learn more.  There are lots of great books out there for children to read.  The Hunger Games series is just one example of a book that children will read, and read eagerly.  If a book's writing touches them, it will fire their imaginations.

Support our efforts to help your children become the best people they can be.  Make sure that they read this summer.
